Authentic Spaghetti alla Carbonara: Easy and Delicious Homemade Recipe

Spaghetti alla Carbonara is well-known in Italy for being a traditional pasta dish from that country. It is prepared using spaghetti that is just right, pancetta or guanciale that has been fried up until very crisp, a sauce that contains eggs, lots of Pecorino Romano cheese, a little parmesan cheese and a hint of crushed garlic. All these ingredients combine to make a meal which is both simple and luxurious.

Spaghetti alla Carbonara Recipe

Required Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces pancetta or guanciale, diced

Step by Step Instructions of Spaghetti alla Carbonara:

  1. Cook Spaghetti:

    Bring water that is of the size of a large pot and which has been salted to a boil. Cook the spaghetti until they become al dente as written on the packet. Remove all excess water from the spaghetti leaving behind 1 cup for further usage.

  2. Prepare Sauce:

    Whisk together eggs δ Pecorino Romano ϝ Parmesan δ a lot of black pepper in big bowl.

  3. Cook the Pancetta:

    Heat up olive oil into the medium-sized skillet. Throw in the pancetta then fry until crispy which should take about 5-7 minutes. Then include minced garlic whereby you would leave it for another extra minute.

  4. Combine and Serve:

    Put cooked spaghetti into a pan with pancetta. Mix properly so that the spaghetti is covered in the fat from the pancetta. It is mandatory to put the egg and cheese mixture into the pan removed from the heat quickly. Also add reserved pasta water and stir briskly until the sauce is silky. Add salt or more black pepper to your liking.

  5. Serve:

    Place spaghetti on the plate then dust it with more pecorino Romano cheese and a little black pepper.

Tips for Perfect Carbonara:

Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh eggs quality pancetta good cheese makes a difference.
Mix Quickly: To avoid scrambling the eggs, you mix the sauce off the heat and toss quickly with the hot pasta.
Consistency: Adjust the creaminess with reserved pasta water.
