Comedian Bob Newhart, whose soft-spoken but biting satire made him a household name, died Thursday in Los Angeles at age 94. Having landed his most famous roles in “The Bob Newhart Show” and “Newhart,” Newhart was the last of the icons. His publicist, Jerry Digney, reported to The Associated Press that the comedy legend had died after a series of short illnesses.

As per the news of Comic Bob Newhart, best known for an everyman persona that powered two classic TV sitcoms, has died on July 18 (Thursday) with natural cause.
