Israel’s Airstrike on Rafah, Killed 35 people: Israel and Hamas War Status

According to the Israeli Army, the airstrikes which bombed a displaced persons’ camp eliminated a Hamas commander.

Rafah, Gaza – On Sunday night, Israel launched an airstrike in Rafah, southern Gaza, that sparked a strong rebuke from Egypt. It is worth mentioning that Israel had defined Tal al-Sultan as a “safe zone” area in Rafah which was hit by the missile. This has attracted global attention and escalated existing tense moments in the Middle-East.

Egypt’s Stance and International Court of Justice Ruling

The statement was made by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Monday which urged Israel to comply with the measures as indicated in the (ICJ). The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has indeed directed upon Israel but on Friday concerning stopping its military campaigns in Rafah and abiding by all her duties as an occupying country it must adhere strictly to what is contained in the International Court of Justice Order (ICJ).

Egypt’s Abbess manifests growing discontentedness against the ongoing skirmishes between her and the Palestinians in the Gaza strip calling upon Tel Aviv not only stop firing but also safeguard any innocent life there.

Casualties and Impact of Israel Strikes on Gaza:

The air strike caused a minimum of 35 deaths and countless people were wounded as reported by the health officials in Gaza. The Gaza government media office also issued pictures of the aftermath featuring flaming huts and burnt corpses being removed by rescue workers. The Israeli side claims to have used smart bombs in hitting down two commanders belonging to Hamas among other militants while maintaining that this particular incidence remains subject to verification.

UNRWA’s Response For Gaza Conflicts:

It is difficult for UNRWA to operate in the aftermath of the conflict in the Near East. As the Organization’s spokesperson, Juliette Touma talked of the difficulties faced by UNRWA staff while trying to maintain their safety due to communication breakdowns. There are 13,000 employees working in Gaza, among them many who fled their houses and sought refuge in open areas.

“Touma stressed the grim reality: “Neither is a safe haven in Gaza nor any one,” “amongst whom are the aid workers.” Immediate address to people’s necessities in Gaza is complicated by their fast and frequent movements there, given the current aid restrictions implied since Israel started its military operations on 6th May. Only slightly more than 140 trucks completely laden with relief have been delivered by UNRWA as at Thursday according to Touma, –‘far from adequate’.”

Israel and Hamas Negotiations:

Another round of indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas will be held in Egypt on Tuesday amidst this chaos. The primary goal of these talks is to reduce tension and create peace agreements which however remain unknown in terms of likelihoods due to the ongoing state of hostilities.

Recent Case and Updates:

The crisis in Gaza is fluid; military operations are ongoing as international diplomacy tries to broker peace. Widespread displacement, insufficient access to critical supplies only serve to make lives of Gazans more unbearable.

Gaza’s humanitarian crisis was worsened by the latest Israeli bombings on Rafah. Egypt’s disapproval and the ruling by ICJ illustrate that we immediately need an end to hostilities as well as protecting civilians. International community is following with bated breath how diplomatic pulses will go; hoping that this very dragging and extremely destructive war will finally be brought to close.

With the ongoing situation between Israel and Hamas, it’s important that we all consider the adoption of peaceful resolutions and supportive humanitarian activities. Encouraging more talks and better mutual understanding among the concerned will certainly make it easier to find a lasting peace. Enhance and back efforts being made by global bodies which aim at enhancing support as well offering shelter to people who experience the attacks in civilian grounds in both states.

Leaders and authorities of your country or nation, see that you get involved in peace talks and other diplomatic moves. Its important to be updated from reliable channels and encourage talks that can lead to understanding and reconciliations.
