According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, 34 airports are currently in operation in Nepal. Tribhuvan International Airport, Gautam Buddha International Airport, and Pokhara International Airport are designated as international airports.
Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu is considered the main airport facilitating international and domestic flights. As a tourist, here are the major routes, you might need to know:

Nepal has a low violent crime rate of 2.1 per 100k inhabitants which is almost 70% lower than global average. Crime is very much rare on the popular trekking routes in the Himalayas.

Taking about climate, In the southern part of Nepal, summers are very hot and winters are mild to cold, while in the northern part of Nepal, winters are very cold and summers are cool. Nepal has total of 5 seasons:

The best time to visit Nepal is between October and December. This time climate is fantastic with skies being clear blue and views are spectacular. Nepal celebrates festivals all year around, so there is often pilgrimage and festival taking place.
You need to wrap up warm to keep out the cold but my favourite time to travel in Nepal is December when there are fewer visitors on the trek routes. The mountain views are clear (and snowy) making for great photo opportunities. You just need to plan in advance to avoid high flight costs.
Budget
Nepal is one of the cheapest countries to travel with private hotels and hotels costing 700 Nepali Rupees, approximately 5$ US Dollars. Meals, one of the most delicious, are also cheap, ranging form 100 to 700 Nepali Rupees depending on the location.
For one person, a week trip to Nepal usually costs around 37,074 Nepali Rupees, approximately $278 US and For two people, it costs around 74,148 Nepali Rupees, approximately $557 US. Taxi as a transportation facility is easy to find too.
