Nina Dobrev, the adorable actress from “The Vampire Diaries,” is reported to be seen on Monday, June 16, talking about the hard process she has been going through since she had a bad dirt biking accident that broke one knee and other injuries that have not been disclosed till now. The 35-year-old was hospitalized after suffering from this severe injury in May.
A Glimpse Into Nina’s Day-to-Day Struggle
Dobrev started by saying, “In case you have been wondering what I’ve been up to,” and she had pictures showing her on a sofa wearing a leg brace. Now she eats, sleeps, uses CPM machine and goes for physical therapy in a simple but rigorous program every day.
For those who may not know, she defined CPM (Continuous Passive Motion) machine as a tool that assists in moving joint in a predetermined area essential in reducing rigidity and enhancing movement.

A Painful First Public Appearance
Only days before making this social media update, Dobrev appeared in public for the first time in almost two months. In which detailed about her harrowing experience and journey to recover on “The Talk.”
In the situation where she talked about her injuries, she said, “I had a knee surgery. There was a huge brace around it in there which made it almost impossible to walk by myself. I also had fractured my knee, gotten an ACL repair and my meniscus was torn.
With overwhelming sadness, Dobrev admitted to be riding a dirt bike for the first time in her life, she shared her experience of being involved in a car crash. You guys should not try it even once.
It is fine, at least I’ve learnt a lesson, do not ever ride a dirt bike. She said warning fans against dangers associated with riding the machines. She lost control trying to do a wheelie which resulted into her falling down leading into what she describes as “snapping” knee caps.
Support from Shaun White and Furry Friends
While the road to recovery may be tough ahead of her, Dobrev is hopeful mostly. Because she has had support from her lover for a long time who happens to be a three times Olympic gold medalist called Shaun White as well as hearing her adorable dogs around her. These are some words that characterize how she is feeling, she cannot get enough of snuggling with them or seeing him.
Adventures and Lessons Learned
Dobrev and White were having adventures before the crash. These adventures included many things that White wanted to do when he retired. Since 2020, the two have been dating and have traveled all over the world to places like Dubai and Antarctica.
As White looked back on their recent trip he said “It has been really cool just being able to hang out again. Because usually I’m away at competitions and she’s working on some movie or other things, but right now we got to hang out.
