Shots Fired at Trump Rally: former President Injured, Spectator Dead

45th President Donald Trump got shot and injured while on rally, Saturday July 13.

Donald Trump was rushed off stage with blood on his head and ear after shots were fired just minutes into his Pennsylvania rally on Saturday July, 13.

Former President (Donald Trump Injured) later confirmed on Truth Social that a bullet “pierced the upper part of my right ear.” He described hearing a “whizzing sound” and feeling the bullet “ripping through the skin,” causing “much bleeding.”

A spectator was killed and two others critically injured in the shooting, according to Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi. The shooter was also confirmed dead. Trump thanked law enforcement and extended condolences to the victims’ families, expressing disbelief that such violence could occur in the country.

Shots were fired from an elevated position outside the Secret Service security perimeter, according to senior U.S. law enforcement officials. Secret Service personnel quickly neutralized the shooter.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro confirmed that (Donald Trump Injured) had “left the Butler area” following the incident. But Trump, just six minutes into his speech, was seen reaching for his face as the shots rang out. Secret Service agents rushed the stage, escorted him off, and Trump raised his fists in the air as the crowd cheered.

A doctor at the event and witnesses described the chaos and injuries at the rally. Rep. Ronny Jackson reported that his nephew was grazed by a bullet.

The FBI is leading the investigation, working with the Secret Service and local law enforcement. Although the incident is being investigated as an assassination attempt, with no signs of foreign involvement.

President Joe Biden spoke with Trump and condemned the attack as “sick,” calling for national unity against such violence. He and Vice President Kamala Harris extended prayers for Trump and all affected.

House Speaker Mike Johnson and House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer also condemned the attack, calling for a thorough investigation.

Trump’s campaign stated that he is being checked at a local medical facility and thanked first responders for their quick action. Despite the attack, Trump remains focused on the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Where he is set to be nominated as the GOP candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
